why wordpress sucks

as a food blogger, it's important for me to have the best blogging platform for my blogs. with this in mind, i chose to use wordpress to write blogs.

NOT ANYMORE.

i found out that if i want to post more than one picture of a food in the one blog, i have to self-host my blog i.e. i can't do it on a wordpress hosted blog. it has to be a blog that uses the wordpress software but is hosted elsewhere.

that means i have to go through all the hassle of finding my own web host. unfortunately, wordpress, i'm a busy guy. I have a food blog to blog and I'm not here to have to work up a stress sweat over the minute techie details like hosting.

to give credit where it's due, at least wordpress say on their site that it's easy to export your content to another blog. so fingers crossed their export feature will actually work and i'll be able to save my first two posts. you should be seeing them up here soon. that makes me think that the people at wordpress are at least decent and fair minded, if a little lacking on what it takes to run a proper blogging platform.

(the cynic in me says they must have worked that if you just can't get your platform right, better get the export process right or you've got a t i c k i n g time bomb on your hands)

ANYWAY

so the upshot of all this is that I've opened an account on Blogger and here I am.

Cautiously hopful of having a better relations with these people. So far, so good.

Also, going to try (as i said) to bring my first posts over here. So then you'll be able to access all my content in the one place. If it doesn't work, I'll post a link and just keep it up as long as possible so you can click through to get the full picture of what i'm blogging

Here are a few pictures of me just chilling in my new room, living my life. Just candid ones with that "just me" "in my room" vibe. Loving posting multiple images in line with text in a post! haha! wordpress! blergh.

Loving the new blankets and pillows. s/o to my mate who gave me the pillows. s/o to salvoes who gave me two blankets for $3
